Little Chapel of Love

August 4, 2007

This Saturday I went to a wedding, my first wedding in a long long time. To understand how long. The last wedding I went to was when I was eight years old. The couple is one of my Mom's best friends Cristy who was getting married with Kian. They live in Guam, where I use to live not too long ago, and they remembered me and asked that I attend their wedding at The Little Chapel of the Flower on Las Vegas Blvd. Cristy had already been here for a few weeks, while Kian just arrived. The chapel was really cute, I was told it was well renowned. I'm also told it was used in a few blockbuster movies, for which ones I don't know, but I can see why. The place was cute, and the priest gave us a really nice speech about the struggles of life and love, and how love always prevails if couples work together. The whole setting was quite romantic.

Afterwards we headed on outside to take pictures out on the garden. Mind you this is in the middle of summer, the sun is still out, and we're in the middle of the desert. As we stood outside, the hired camera man took our pictures and I took some as well.

Afterwards we went to a nice Italian restaurant inside the Stratosphere. We had quite a bit of fun. I hadn't seen Cristy or Kian in over four years, so it was very good to talk to them again and see how they've changed. Eventually dinner started and I got grilled lamb, it was actually pretty good. After that, I congratulated them and I called it a night.
